The First Day of Spring ~ That was the fateful day you left us. We miss you so much Bryant. But in Spring is re-birth, an awakening, and a peace that you left because you were done. You were tired. You accomplishe what you needed to. 20 years doesn't seem long enough, not by any stretch of any imagination, but I suppose if you hold that up agains the odds you were given on the day you were born, I would say Las Vegas would be ahurtiin'. They gave you 24 hours. You gave us 20 years.
You showed us grace, dignity, life, love, strength, courage, hero-stuff. Real time. Real life. You went through so many tough things and came out smiling, probably to teach us more stuff ... if only we open our hearts. We did, we opened our hearts and we got a miracle.
I love you Bryant more than words could ever convey. But you know that. Your face shows it in all our pictures and vidoes and the legacy you made. You loved back. You taught so much to so many. We are forever grateful to have had you in our lives.
I continue my quest now, without my Spirit Guide here in a physical sense, it's hard to get my bearings. I try, we all do, we try and restructure our "new normal" after losing our centerpeice. Sure, you are still with us, always will be, and for that we are beyond blessed. You personified perfection in your Grace and Love. In what may be perceived as "weakness" or "disability" you brought ability and strength.
I don't know what I'll do today. Probably enjoy the Spring Day and think of you and how you LOVED the Spring, the Wind, how you loved life. And try to find some focus on a day that just sucks out loud.
